This is the third part of the lecture "Universal principles of design", which I gave at the Volga media school. Why is knowledge of the basic principles of perception of visual content so important for a graphic designer? When creating a design, we use design technologies. Design is a sequence of rational steps that lead us to the desired result. The desired result is a situation when our design is understandable and evokes positive emotions in the viewer. A professional approach to design is a sequence of analytical and evaluative actions: interpretation - explanation - forecast. To reach a professional level in graphic design, we must learn not only to interpret the design task, but also to be able to explain why our design solution is optimal and, based on this, predict how our design will "work". One of the professional tools for assessing and interpreting design is the Gestalt principles of perception. In this lecture, I talk about the basic Gestalt principle, the counterform. #graphicdesign #schoolaromashin #designtraining #design #identity #logo #alexeyromashin #gestalt #designlessons #designfromscratch #designtraining #gestaltprinciples #designer #counterform
