Use the Gear You Have [4K]
Filmmaking is one of the fastest growing hobbies and even career in the world right now. Every company including Canon, Sony, Panasonic, Atomos, Adobe, Rokinon, and many more are going to bat with each other to win you over with their competitive prices and technology. This is a great time to start your hobby/career or even advance further because there is so much good gear on the market, accessible to individuals at every age, skill level, and price point.
Not so long ago I was the guy shooting on a cheap SD camcorder because there was not a lot of gear in my price range. Today in 2017 majority of smartphones coming out have 4k video and/or 1080p slow-motion features. It's crazy to think but my iPhone 7 can without a doubt outperform my first few camera's I learned the filmmaking basics on. Hopefully this video explains how and why the market is shifting and it was my goal to inspire you to just get out there and start shooting. This video is geared towards the beginner/amateur market but everybody could take something from this video and start implementing it today! Have a great day everybody!
