In this video, learn how to quickly install Garuda Linux XFCE edition in VirtualBox. Garuda Linux is an Arch-based rolling distribution that offers a user-friendly graphical installer and performance-enhancing tweaks, making it a great choice for both beginners and power users. We start by creating a new virtual machine in VirtualBox, selecting Linux as the type and Debian-based 64-bit as the version since Garuda is Arch-based but compatible with this setting. Allocate at least 4 GB of RAM and create a dynamically allocated virtual hard disk of 30 GB or more. Attach the Garuda Linux ISO file to the VM’s optical drive and start the VM. Follow the graphical Calamares installer to select language, region, keyboard layout, and create your user account. After installation, reboot the VM and remove the installation media. If the VM does not start immediately, shut it down and restart. Finally, re-enable the network manager if you disabled it during installation for faster setup. This quick method gets Garuda Linux XFCE running smoothly in VirtualBox.
