Back at again. Surprisingly the Elmo’s World intro was never released on any CDs at the lobby except for the instrumental during Oscar’s Song (and the top tier Sunny Day Campout version) so I mashed that up with the 1998 Elmo’s World intro (credit to original uploader)
In my opinion: unless it tries to be unique, Elmo’s World doesn’t make a Sesame Street Live automatically good, it really depends from show to show. A majority of the time, it’s a carbon copy of the segment on TV. The only shows that derive the formula are Ready for Action and Sunny Day Campout (both in my top 10 for other reasons other than Elmo’s World). Everyone Makes Music and Out of this World had okay segments and I’m completely fine with them having it. The only problem I have is the fact that it appears in revivals that had actually good Elmo segments and replaced them with Elmo’s World. When I Grow Up was great, but it didn’t need an Elmo’s World segment to be good because it has a storyline for Elmo as well as Big Bird. And 1-2-3 Imagine it wasn’t necessary (especially in the 2009 version) because it took away Barkley and Oscar’s only scenes (Oscar had Antarctica in the original). It takes away a lot of the factors that made it good.
I own nothing, Sesame Workshop owns the music and they own the words.
