This tutorial takes you from zero to your first live worker: create your free account, download your personal one-click installer from Client Setup, and run it in PowerShell. The script fetches the latest client, unpacks it, and writes your config — all automatically.

Requirements:
• Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit
• A modern Intel or AMD CPU (AVX2 or AVX-512), GPU optional
• At least 4 GB of RAM
• Internet connection
Step by step:
1. Sign in at platform.qubic.li → Client Setup → give your worker a name (auto-detect handles the hardware).
2. Switch to the Windows tab and download install-qli.ps1 — the script already contains your personal settings.
3. Open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process Bypass -Force; .\install-qli.ps1
(Bypass only applies to this PowerShell window — no admin rights needed.)
4. The script downloads the latest client, unpacks it to ~\qli-client and writes your config. Then start the client:
cd ~\qli-client
.\qli-Client.exe
5. Within minutes your worker shows up under Workers on the platform — live hashrate, score, and shares.
Troubleshooting:
• The client keeps restarting its worker ("qli-worker-… not running or has exited")? Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) and start the client again.
• Windows warns about an unknown script or app? That's SmartScreen — choose "Run anyway". The client only needs outgoing connections, no firewall rule required.
• Want to change the worker name or thread count later? Edit appsettings.json in ~\qli-client, or generate a fresh installer in Client Setup.
