Witches have taken over TikTok — with spells, exorcisms and “energy cleanses” going viral. I wanted to understand why so many people believe in it, so I travelled to Liverpool to meet Molly Simpson — a self-proclaimed witch who says she talks to demons and heals souls.
Molly’s story is wild. She grew up in a violent home surrounded by black magic, later says she sold her soul to a demon, and now claims Jesus appeared to her and made her an exorcist. I followed her into a real exorcism to see what she actually does — and at the end, she even checked if I was possessed. I’m not here to prove or disprove anything. I just want to understand what people believe… and why.
