⏩ Selenium 4 adds several new features, such as relative locators, Chrome DevTools, and an improved Selenium Grid, making it a worthy upgrade over Selenium 3.
⏩ Since Selenium 3.8, it has been suggested to use browser Options instead of static browser methods of DesiredCapabilities. Selenium 4 does not support static methods. This means that DesiredCapabilities.chrome(), DesiredCapabilities.firefox(), and similar functions are no longer available.
⏩ The remote web driver is another option for starting your Java session. This class has a few advantages for cloud users, such as the ability to create timeouts.
⏩ If you are using Maven for your project, upgrading to Selenium 4 is as simple as retrieving Selenium 4 from the Maven Repository and including it in pom.xml.
⏩ Apart from Java, upgrading to Selenium 4 is simple for Selenium supported languages such as Python, C#, PHP, Ruby, and JavaScript.
