Master drummer David Jones playing Fast Jazz fusion; Improvised solo on the beautiful large Ludwig Legacy kit. (26 bass drum and Legendary Black Beauty snare drum)
Recorded December 2013 at Victorian College of the Arts ,Melbourne,where David is currently Honorary Fellow/ Artist in Residence.
The Ride Cymbal and hihats are intentionally overlapping/slightly touching, so that they create a sizzle effect and activate each other.
The other 2 drum kits (element Birch and main Legacy kit) seen in the background will be featured on future videos.
These and other videos will contribute to Music Research in terms of meditation/consciousness and the dynamic links with improvisation.
