How to Check if Python is Installed on Windows

Start by opening the Start menu.

Type "cmd" in the search bar and press Enter to open the Command Prompt.

1. In the Command Prompt window, type "python --version" (without quotes) and press Enter.

2. The Command Prompt will display the Python version installed on your computer if Python is installed.

3. Alternatively, you can check for the presence of the Python executable file manually.

4. Open the File Explorer by pressing the Windows key + E.

5. Navigate to the root directory or the directory where Python is typically installed, usually "C:\PythonXX" (XX represents the version number).

6. Look for a folder named "PythonXX" or "Python" followed by the version number.

7. If you find this folder, Python is likely installed on your computer.

8. In case Python is not installed, the Command Prompt will display an error message indicating that the command is not recognized.

9. You can download Python from the official website python.org and install it following the provided instructions.
