Sofiya lives in a fishing village. She is cheerful and talented—she sings beautifully and delights her fellow villagers with her songs. She loves her boyfriend, Vasya, a cadet at a naval academy, and dreams of going to Odessa with him. Meanwhile, the serious Vasily dreams of Sofiyka enrolling in a ship's radio operator course so that they can sail together on the same ship...
"Chernomorochka" is a Soviet lyrical comedy, Alexey Korenev's first directorial work, filmed at the Odessa Film Studio in 1959.
