"It has been so long. So many worlds, so many generations. Yet in the end I believe we have failed. We set out to seed life through the stars, yet after all our efforts, nothing remains. The galaxy is quiet and empty. Our nature betrays us and has undermined our ambitions. We fight amongst ourselves while the light of life is at risk of being extinguished forever. After the atomic wars of the Red Planet, there are so few of us. We aboard are all that's left. We grow old and weary and know we will not live to see our goals come to fruition. We cannot give up. The last of our emissaries are headed to Gaia to seed life in exchange for theirs... our final offering."
