Film Developing Made Easy https://thedarkroom.com
We’re really looking forward to seeing how it performs in medium format. With a much larger negative, 120 film almost always takes things to another level, delivering smoother tonal transitions and finer grain.
RED 125 is a redscale film which color film shot in reverse, exposing the emulsion through the base. This creates a surreal reddish hue that can turn even ordinary scenes into something dystopian, cinematic, or sci-fi. It’s a fun and creative shift from traditional color film.
Technically, RED 125 is Harman Phoenix 200 exposed backwards, which results in lower light sensitivity and a new box speed of ISO 125.
These are images from our first roll of 35mm RED 125 earlier this year, and we’ll be sharing 120 results as soon as we have them. The film should be available in the U.S. very soon and we can’t wait to see what the film community creates with it!
