"I haven't found a video about joist ceilings on your site yet. In older buildings, you often find that the space between the joists has bare brickwork, which is therefore leaky. What's the best way to deal with this? Should I completely seal the ceiling underneath and the floor above, then connect it to the plaster, or should I plaster over the gaps between the joists and the wall with a plasterable adhesive tape? What happens if it gets wet due to driving rain on the west-facing facade? Can the joist still dry out if necessary?"
