Is all humanity swallowed up by Pride or Pride? What is human pride?
"Pride" and "pride" have different connotations when used. Pride is more often used with negative things, such as "curb your pride" or "pride overshadows the mind." But the use of the word “pride” has a slightly different connotation, for example, “I am proud of my Motherland,” “I am proud that there are such people on earth,” etc. In almost all religions, pride is a sin. Among other things, sin leading to other sins. From the point of view of a religious person, pride and pride are identical concepts. Of course, the perception of these concepts is individual. But, nevertheless, from the point of view of philosophy, pride helps people to improve, set new goals. And pride often interferes with adequately perceiving oneself and one's problems. Pride raises above other people, but this elevation has no background. Therefore, it leads to degradation. Pride is an obvious quality - what we see. It can manifest itself in external signs, for example, in behavior - gestures, judgments, assessments, etc. Pride is sometimes confused with hot temper. If a person attaches special importance to such qualities as honor, conscience, decency, devotion, developing them in himself, and does not ask others, does not demand honesty towards himself - this means that a person is on the right path, although for those around him he may seem proud. If a person begins to want to be appreciated, respected for his good qualities, to be treated the same way as he treats people, and they do not do this, resentment arises. Discontent with the behavior of others settles in his soul, behind this and condemnation, and this is already PRIDE. A person himself does not notice how the wonderful qualities, the qualities that he has brought up in himself, have made him, in fact, unhappy: “I’m so good, but everyone offends me, does not appreciate, deceive”, etc. Pride is a secret feeling, an emotion that is hidden in the depths of our soul. This is something that a person does not see and often does not want to notice. Outwardly, it does not manifest itself in any way, the person is calm and polite, pleasant in communication, and inside he has a feeling of self-satisfaction. And if you make any remark, he will be offended to the depths of his soul and think, or even say: “You are a hundred times worse than me, and you are pointing out to me” - this clearly indicates pride. Of course, to cope with yourself and see in it will take some years for some. But the point is to follow the right path and try to change ourselves, and not the world around us. It is very difficult, it is a big and painstaking work, but it is necessary, otherwise none of our problems will be solved and will turn into a snowball.
