Originally named Taj Mahal by the original explorers as this cave system reminded them of the beauty and splendor of the Taj Mahal in India the name has since been “Mayanised” to Taj Ma Ha as Ha means water in Mayan.
This dive explores three different cenotes, in which you go in and out of saltwater, admire numerous decorations and stunning views of the jungle through the mirror like surface.
Cenote Taj Mahal is about 12 meters deep. You can encounter the halocline on the way to sugar bowl cenote. What’s interesting about this place is the light that goes through the little holes at the top.
About half an hour drive north of Tulum.
