Programming Myself a Concert at Home | Arduino Music Syncing LED Lights Tutorial

Blasting some good music and just dancing around makes me happy. Having music syncing LEDs makes me even happier. In this video, I go over the circuit that I built for this project, including the intermediate circuits that helped me get there! I also go over the Arduino code that makes this possible. The final product is an LED strip that syncs to music :)
The music comes in from an aux cord, goes into the MSGEQ7 to be split into 7 bands depending on frequency, then gets passed along to the Arduino. The Arduino works its magic to output 3 different values to PWM pins, which go through an array of IR2125s and MOSFETs. We use MOSFETS because the LEDs are a voltage driven switch. The IR2125s help provide the excess voltage needed for the FETS and drive the necessary current to switch the FETs on and off quickly.
