Before importing the model into Ansys Mechanical for solver simulation, SpaceClaim Meshing uses the Mesh ribbon in Ansys SpaceClaim to generate the mesh on some or all of your geometry parts. You may obtain a 100% hex mesh on complex CAD geometry using the SpaceClaim Meshing tool.
One of the most crucial processes in carrying out an accurate simulation using FEA is meshing. A mesh is composed of elements that have nodes—coordinate positions in space that might change depending on the element type—that symbolize the geometry's shape. Uneven shapes are difficult for an FEA solver to work with, but typical shapes like cubes make it simpler. The process of meshing is the transformation of irregular shapes into recognizable volumes, or "elements."
Mesh quality plays an important role in the accuracy of the simulation results. The software uses many important checks to measure the quality of elements in a mesh. They are Element quality, Aspect ratio, Jacobian ratio, Warping Factor, Parallel Deviation, Maximum corner angle, skewness, and orthogonal quality.
