Kickass ultra-slim lithium battery install - Landcruiser GX 200 series
Well, those with a 200 Series cruiser, may know the plight of a secondary battery for running a fridge etc in the back.
Q1. Do you swap out the 2 crank batteries with 1 big crank battery, then make the second space a secondary battery for running your fridge etc.
Q2. Then do you fit an AGM, or lithium…but lithium batteries aren’t best suited at the moment to go under the bonnet. Although some do fit them and had success.
Well in my case, about 2 ½ years ago I decided to leave the 2 crank batteries up front (under the bonnet) and install a battery box in the back. I fitted a Redarc BCDC Charger (25A) and a 110W solar panel on the roof rack. Now the AGM is starting to fail, time to install a Lithium Ultra-Slim battery from KickAss, AND…get rid of my battery box in the back and claim my bootspace back!
