The GW Department of Emergency Medicine is proud of our diverse faculty and residents who come from around the globe to train the next generation of emergency physicians and care for our patients. The underrepresentation of minority physicians is a contributing factor to healthcare disparities and it is important to realize this as an opportunity for improvement in patient care.
