Zelda 64: New beta elements | Spaceworld '97 beta found?
On January 19, 2021, members of the 'Forest of Illusion' team found a developer cartridge containing the final version of the video game F-Zero X. What they never imagined was that this cartridge also contained overdumped remnants of an ancient beta version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, back when it was still called Zelda 64. The discoveries made are epic: they can be directly linked to various screenshots from that era (magazines, VHS tapes, etc.) as well as to the beta version of Spaceworld 1997, which is what they believe to be the source of. Unfortunately, only half of the data survived, but it's enough to fill us with incredible curiosities.
