Louis Malina. Episode 4. Series 5
The fifth episode of the fourth story explores another theological approach to describing divine control over the world, developed by the late scholastic school, and in particular by Luis Malina. It developed outside the framework of predestination theology and was an alternative to Calvinism. The main goal of this theological system was to reconcile divine will and free human action. At the same time, other views similar to Calvinism were proposed by the influential Catholic thinker Cornelius Jansenius.
