From the Cadorna Line Trenches to the Abandoned Walser Village - VAL D'OSSOLA
Starting from the Punta di Migiandone car park (210m) at the Ornavasso exit of SP166 in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, we take a circular route passing by the Forte di Bara, a historic structure on the Cadorna Line. We explore the trenches and observe some artillery pieces along the route, then follow the signs to Alpe Villa, an almost entirely abandoned Walser village. We finally pass the Sanctuary of the Madonna d'Oropa before returning to the car park.
