In the late 1990s, I hosted a segment about animals on a children's TV show on a local Krasnodar channel. I was fortunate to meet and interact with researchers, animal keepers, and simply wonderful people passionate about animals! One of the program's subjects was Andrey Eduardovich, a veterinarian by training, who at the time headed the ecology department at the Krasnodar Young Naturalists' Station. Of course, this was one of the factors that influenced my worldview and further fueled my interest in the animal world! Many years later, in 2018, I met Andrei Eduardovich again when some fellow terrarium enthusiasts invited me to a lecture titled "Australia Through the Eyes of a Naturalist." Andrei Eduardovich, who had just returned from an expedition, gave the lecture!
Of course, I'm happy and proud to share with you the conversation, which I've decided to call "Interview 20 Years Later."
