A review of computer game ports for Turbografx 16/PC Engine consoles. Almost everyone knows about the Megadrive and Super Nintendo, but their competitors from NEC are far fewer. Although their 16-bit console appeared earlier, it was in many ways the first and enjoyed significant developer support. However, its success largely remained in Japan and was almost never exported to other countries. Was it poor marketing, bad timing, or something else? We can't say for sure, but we can say that popular (and sometimes not) computer games of the time were ported to it, and they were transformed beyond recognition. That's the topic of our today's episode.
