Drones will be utilized for forward missions by the Revolutionary Guard Corps with the assistance of the Shahid Bagheri. An slanted flight deck and a ski jump launch system reminiscent of the Russian Kuznetsov Class and the British Queen Elizabeth Class are features of the cruiser. Similar to the Russian Kuznetsov Class and the British Queen Elizabeth Class carriers, this battleship, which is called a "forward base ship," has an inclined flight deck and a ski jump launch mechanism. Repurposing a commercial container ship, the Perarin, into a carrier allowed Iran to construct the vessel on a remarkably tight budget. The 240-meter-long and 21-meter-tall hull of Shahid Bagheri is armed with drones, missiles, and helicopters. About sixty drones will be able to fly and land on the deck of this ship. The Shahid Mahdavi will be the name of the second container ship that will reportedly be transformed into a platform for flying drones. Although this method seems to be enough for drone operations without any manned aviation components, the performance is severely limited when compared to purpose-built aircraft carriers using converted container ships due to their inability to withstand damage in combat.
