Select one of the linked text frames.
From the menu choose...
Window - Utilities - Scripts
From within the Scripts panel open up...
Application - Samples - JavaScript
Double click on "SplitStory.jsx"
Bonus tip:
To connect stand alone text boxes, click on the out port of the first text box and then click within the second text box. This can be done regardless of whether the text boxes contain text or not.
