Locomotion is the last missing link to vr immersion. I remember the first steps I took that really stood out to me. It was that chapter in half life Alyx just before you obtain the flashlight. This dark corridor with ominous sounds, where the game was clearly wanting you to feel how crazy it would feel to have to walk down there.
I set up a really long play space on my quest 2 and proceeded to take real steps across my living room but I was experiencing what may have been one of the most significant moments my VR gaming journey.
