Heat and Developing Thunderstorms - 12th August 2020 Time-lapse | Northamptonshire, UK
A time-lapse of a hot, humid and thundery day in late summer 2020. This day featured lots of sunshine and southerly winds allowing temperatures to rise rapidly. The highest temperature on this day was 33.0°C here in Northamptonshire and 34.6°C at St James's Park, London. By the late afternoon and evening convection started to rapidly build sparking off some quite severe thunderstorms that passed by my area.
