One minute of Windows doing 'nothing'

While Anvir Task Manager doesn't show separate reads and writes, there are some apps that are showing storage activity constantly, and they have even less reason to read all the time than write. I disabled logfiles wherever I can, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
My PC writes and average of 46 MB an hour on the system SSD while not touching it and everything just idling.
Activity all the time: HWiNFO64, the personal firewall I'm using, Argus Monitor, Netbalancer. Netbalancer even claims to only write the absolutely necessary minimum.
When I end all those listed apps, the LED rarely blinks at all.
Steam is really timid in comparison. The Resource Monitor lists mostly just System traffic as the cause though.
When using my web browser (Waterfox), SSD writes relatively skyrocket, despite me having moved the browser cache to HDD. Part of it might be the session restore tool, but if I examine what that is writing, it still seems excessive.
Mathematically this presents no significant wear problem for the SSD, but one also has to consider that flash memory cells don't just die one day, but can also show deteriorating performance with continuous use.

A typical daily session where I am not manually copying anthing to the SSD shows several GB written, sometimes up to 10 GB.
