Example of intra-sentential code-switching

“Intra-sentential” is moving between languages within a sentence (or clause) - as demonstrated in the video where words (phrases, and clauses) within a sentence are replaced with words from English. This is different from “inter-sentential”, which is moving between languages between sentences. For example, “No puedo hablar español. I rely on Google translate. Es triste.”

Code-switching is moving between two more languages in a single conversation. Code-mixing is basically the same concept (just depends who is talking about it). You can think of code-mixing as a specific type of code-switching.
