How to do Poi Antibend Toroids (Advanced Poi Lesson)
How do you antispin a poi plane? By doing an antibend toroid, of course! (and no, I'm not just making up words) In toroids, we can spin the plane of the poi such that becomes a prop in and of itself. By spinning it in the opposite direction that the hand is moving in, we create a unique toroid that can produce shapes made out of straight lines when viewed from the audience's perspective. We refer to these as antibend toroids and they're a great tool for capturing everything from star patterns to doing direction changes with the poi. This tutorial includes everything you need to know to learn how to do in order to get these fun toroids down!
