The Kerbal Inventory System lets you stuff your kerbals and some containers with small parts. You can then whip the bits out, stick them on stuff (as long as your Kerbal engineers have tools to hand) and build, improve and enhance your crafts (or create new ones from scratch!). KIS is a companion mod to the Kerbal Attachment System (you want both), which we'll profile in Episode 20.
KIS comes with a lovely PDF manual you can read in game (put it in your Kerbal's inventory and then activate it) or you can read it over on the game thread. As always, KIS can be installed by CKAN.

Never heard of KSP? Where have you been?! In KSP, you must build space-worthy craft, capable of flying your crew out into space, without killing them. At your disposal are a collection of parts, which must be assembled to create a functional ship. Each part has its own function and will affect the way a ship flies (or doesn't). So strap yourself in, and get ready to try some Rocket Science!
