In nature we find our senses awakened to realms outside of ourselves. The body becomes a yolk inside the field of our experience.Through this embodiment of nature, Michael Nauert collaborated with the landscapes of Northern California to paint a three part work.
Inspiration and place tangle to create the psychological space Nauert manifests onto the canvas. The paintings are worlds in constant becoming, a continuum that turns into nature and then falls apart into paint. This continuum transcends a place of logical thought, pointing to the unnamable, the mystery beyond the thinking mind.
Left in a state of wonder, the viewer is given the ability to sense the most elusive parts of themselves, finding validation of feelings we have no words for.
