More problems with the 5090r
Ah, the 5r. Such potential. Such a great size for snow removal.
So what's killing it?
Build quality, and service.
Since the beginning this machine has been in and out of the service bay more times than I care to acknowledge.
Now the latest is a transmission issue. A simple update to fix the slow transmission and occasional jerks rendered my tractor handicapped. No more 4th gear apparently. 1 is 1, 2 is absent, 3 is 4 and 4 is 2 🤷♂️
So what does John Deere do? A simple 24 hour Dtac. It's now been 2 weeks, they are asking for it back to run more tests now.
Looks like I'll be passing another winter with a broken 5r. Not bad for a 120k$ machine
