I did not plan to make another anti cheat video, but I have learned a lot more since my first one and wanted to share what I now understand. As a Linux gamer I have reached a clear position: I will not buy games that only run on Windows due to intrusive kernel level anti cheat.

In this video I explain how normal anti cheat compares to kernel level anti cheat, why big studios block Linux players, and what this means for privacy and gaming. I cover examples such as Apex Legends and PUBG, along with how Proton fits into the picture.

What you will learn in this video:

The difference between user level anti cheat and kernel level anti cheat
Why kernel level anti cheat is a privacy and security risk
Why Linux users are blocked when studios demand kernel level tools
Why I will no longer buy games that require this kind of system control

I also share my thoughts on the future of anti cheat, including AI detection, and why I think it could be a better path forward.

If you are a Linux gamer frustrated with blocked titles or concerned about intrusive software, this breakdown will give you the insight you need. Please share your thoughts in the comments or drop an emoji to support the Linux Gamer Life community.
