What is the definition of a greenway?
The 'green' comes from 'greenbelt' and the 'way' from 'parkway', so greenways can be in urban or rural areas. My definition is that 'a greenway is a route that is good from an environmental point of view': it passes through good landscape architecture and is free from noise and air pollution.. Greenways are for non motorised users: walkers and cyclists.
