In this video, Dr Sandip Gupta suggests that you should NOT bathe your baby in the first 24 hours after birth, as bathing the baby within 24hrs of birth can lead to hypothermia.
WHEN can we give regular bathing to the baby: When the umbilical cord has completely fallen in between 7 to 10 days after birth.
WHAT to do for the first 7 to 10 days: sponge bath the baby with a towel dipped in lukewarm water.
