Common law admission test commonly known as CLAT is one of the most important law entrance tests which is conducted by Consortium of National Law Universities, National Law School of India University, Bangalore for providing admission to 21 National Law Universities and more than 32 Private Law institutes across India.

If you want to take admission in 5 years integrated BA LLB, B.Com LLB or B.Sc LLB Course and 1 year LLM course in any of the Top 21 National Law University or some of the top private law institutes in India then getting good rank in CLAT exam is must for you. Good rank in CLAT Exam will ensure a seat for you in any of the top law institute of your choice.


CLAT 2022 Eligibility

For Undergraduate law courses like BA LLB and B.COM LLB you should have obtained senior secondary or it's an equivalent certificate from any recognized board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate for General category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate in case of SC and ST candidates.

If you are looking to get admission in 1-year LLM program then you need to have obtained L.L.B degree from any recognized university with not less than 55% marks if you belong to general category and 50% marks in case you come under reserved category candidates.

CLAT Exam for UG courses consist of question from
English including comprehension
General knowledge and current affairs
Mathematics
Legal aptitude and
Logical reasoning

Whereas the CLAT Exam for PG Course consists of question Covering Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence and All compulsory law subjects prescribed by the BCI for the Under-Graduate Course.


CLAT Exam Pattern
CLAT for UG courses is a multiple-choice based entrance exam consisting of 200 questions carrying 200 marks and to be completed in 2 Hrs time.

Whereas CLAT for PG is a mixed bag of Descriptive and Objective question carrying 150 marks and to be completed in 2 Hrs time.
