The Absolute Immersive modpack by 47MarkIV has been designed to explore and experience Immersive Engineering (IE) through careful mod selection. The goal will be for users to fully utilize all of the tools/ machines, and to learn about their functions. To help achieve that goal, distractions have been eliminated by only having mods with complimentary functions instead. Other mods that expand on IE or are in the style/genre have been added, such as: Immersive Petroleum, Immersive Tech, Questionably Immersive and Immersive Railroading.
A major addition for interest is Pollution. Burning materials will cause pollution, which you will have to filter, clean or remove.
In a kitchen-sink style modpack, there are so many competing options available on how to complete tasks, such as farming or ore processing, that users may tend to only use the blocks from mods that they are comfortable with. That leads to the unintended side effect of players not knowing what other options are available. By eliminating Immersive’s technological competition, the pack will help hopefully encourage new designs, builds and a widened toolbox of knowledge.
