Causes of Ghost Touch
1) Dirty fingers or oily fingers
- Fingerprint smudge
Solution:
- turn the screen off
- clean the screen with a cloth
2) Tempered glass issue
- some tempered glass produces too much static or conductivity
- too much conductivity sends random signal to digitizer
- Some LCD/LED have issues with low quality tempered glass
- poorly fitted tempered glass
Solution:
- remove tempered glass
- replace tempered glass
- choose plastic protector if your touch screen is sensitive
3) Factory Defects
- Ghost touch manifest after a few months
Solution:
- Return your phone for warranty
- Bring to a legit technician
4) Low Quality Digitizer
- this happens typically with cheap phones
- cutting corners by using cheap display or digitizer to save money
Solution:
- replace your phone
5) Software Bug
- recent update bugs
- recent settings changes
- upgrade bugs
Solution:
- full factory reset
- for system upgrade, re-flash the Android OS with a new one or an older version (downgrade)
- see a legit technician to do this if you don't know how to re-flash phone
6) Damaged Digitizer
- dropped phone
- smashed display
Solution:
- bring to a legit technician
7) Faulty or Poor Quality Charger
- Digitizer malfunction
- the longer you use that faulty charger, the effect could become permanent
Solution:
- replace charger asap
8) Dead Zones
- part of the digitizer is damaged due to overuse
- Damaged due to accidental naupuan
Solution:
- Bring to a legit technician
9) Overheating
- digitizer and LCD/LED react to heat and make irregular conduction
- overheating creates reaction ot other components which produces bad grounding
Solution:
- Avoid overuse especially when gaming or apps that cause too much heat
- replace digitizer (technician)
