RS500i Tutorial: How to Mount RS500i
The Vaultek RS500i safe can be secured horizontally, vertically, or both. Featuring pre-drilled holes on the backside and underside of the safe, you can hard mount the safe to a flat surface of your choosing. With assistance, align the safe where you like, making sure the safe has clearance to open without interference.
Tip! The RS500i weighs nearly 100lbs. Take caution when moving and use assistance with a friend or family member.
Wall Mounting
The safe’s backside holes are in-line for vertical stud mounting. With the safe in position use a philips bit screwdriver to remove the (3) hole covers inside the safe. Mark the mounting hole locations with a pen or pencil. With assistance carefully remove the safe from its position and pilot the holes. Reposition into place and install the mounting hardware.
Floor Mounting
With assistance, carefully lay the safe down on its side. Open the safe door, and using a phillips screwdriver and wrench remove the bottom feet to access the pre-drilled bottom holes.
Lift the safe upright and move into position to mark the mounting hole locations with a pen or pencil. With assistance carefully remove the safe, and pilot the holes. Reposition into place and install the mounting hardware.
