This video shows how to configure your first DHCP Server on Windows Server 2016. Including configuring DHCP Scope Options, DHCP Scope Exclusions, and DHCP Reservations. As well, it demonstrates and issue where a DHCP client (Windows 7 in this example) does not get a reverse DNS record (PTR record) created in the appropriate reverse DNS zone. We solve this issue by creating a user/service account and configure it in the DNS Update Proxy security group.
