I. Love. "Idiocracy" the movie.
Not that its a super well made film or anything. But, it makes a really important point about the future of mankind. As we automate life and use A.I. more and more to fulfill our daily needs (and even creativity), the human race is poised to start an evolutionary decline. As a species we no longer face the hardships of uncivilized life that would normally cull the herd so to say, which by any modern standard should be considered a good thing. I for one, have terrible vision (or had, since I got lasik a couple years ago.) so my genes would not be great for surviving in the wild. I would have made a terrible boar hunter, and so would my offspring if I had chosen to have any. And, while the last hundred years have seen a steady increase in IQ scores, that may reverse itself at some point as we see the opening scene of Idiocracy taking place in real time.
