A big shout out to the Leary family who encouraged me to write this little jingle to support the #moveforlex campaign.
My heart swells with pride and that makes my eyes leak at the sheer guts and determination of the amazing Alexa Leary.
At the top of her game doing triathlons, Alexa sadly had a nasty fall from her bike just over 3 months ago and was in an induced come with her family being told she may not make it, she may not ever walk again WELL this beautiful young lady has shown the world her tenacity and love of life by defying those odds.
Although rehab is now a daily part of Alexa’s recovery, she just continues to amaze everyone.
Thank you Russell and Belinda for allowing me to support the #moveforlex campaign.
I encourage everyone to get out and get moving even if it’s only a little bit each day.
Thank you Alexa for encouraging so many of us to add a little exercise to our day so we too can get stronger.
Please support the #moveforlex campaign and support them to raise funds for some unique financial support to key people who have assisted Alexa and so many other people who find themselves hospitalised then a long road to recover when they sustain dreadful injuries.
With living their own nightmare in ICU the family are getting right behind their We C U campaign which is about raising funds to support families who may not be able to visit their loved ones in ICU so WE C U will help families financially when their loved ones need them close by.
