In November 2020 for the first time due to the pandemic, the 10th Global PRO Final of The Fresh Connection went virtual!
The tenth edition of The Fresh Connection Global PRO Challenge included more than 1,000 participants, who were representing hundreds of companies and tens of countries. They first underwent public training sessions or remote training rounds. The greater majority then continued with the Global PRO Challenge rounds, hoping to qualify for the Global PRO Final. Twenty teams succeeded in reaching that goal and they subsequently joined us online in an immersive 3D environment to compete for an exclusive prize and eternal glory.
Across the globe, training rounds were delivered with the help of dedicated local partners, who mainly provided remote workshops with The Fresh Connection business simulation game. Whether as a part of the Global PRO Challenge or in a stand alone session, the training rounds provide excellent training value to participating teams and individuals. This is where "T-shaped professionals" are developed by gaining valuable in-depth hard skills across multiple disciplines in the supply chain. On top of that they get to train critical soft skills needed to be successful in cross-functional collaboration. These sessions are considered to be high quality in their own right. As an extra, for teams that so wished, they could continue training: first of all by taking part in the TFC Global PRO Challenge. Second, for the 20 teams that were the best of their country, progression to the TFC Global PRO Final online. To top it off, a prize for the TFC Global PRO Final winner: an Executive Education SCM Course at MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA. And as said, eternal glory.
It took four breath-taking rounds, before it was known who the winner was of The Fresh Connection Global PRO Final 2020. It is the team individuals team of professionals from China that takes the crown! They have come out on top as the best team and earned the title of TFC Global PRO Final Champion 2020 and the ExecEd SCM course at MIT.
