"All the Taverns of Istanbul" traces the stories of Istanbul's old taverns, retracing the stories of former regulars, drinking establishments, and past lifestyles. The documentary emphasizes that it's not just people who change over time in society, but also habits and conversations. Former regulars, tavern owners, and current tavern operators share their memories and the features of the venues that have carried over to the present day. The documentary compares the perspectives of today's people on entertainment, conversation, and drinking culture with the customers they hosted from the past, some of whom are now deceased.

Production Notes
Filming began in early 2010 at the Safa Meyhanesi in Yedikule. Following this, filming took place at the Kuleli Tavern in Samatya, Kör Agop's Tavern in Kumkapı, the Haydarpaşa Train Station Restaurant, Çiçek Pasajı, and the Cumhuriyet Tavern in Nevizade. Exterior filming was also completed at the now-closed Agora Tavern in Balat. The final filming took place in late 2011 at Madam Despina's Tavern, Refik Restaurant, and Yakup-2 Tavern in Kurtuluş. Interviews were conducted with the second and third generations who took over the management of the taverns, as well as the opinions of some regulars. Information from the owners and the books of historian and academic Prof. Jak Deleon were used as sources. All interior and exterior filming for the film took place during the winter months. Digital and still cameras were used for filming.
