Testing an armature in 4 steps.

1. Set your multimeter to ohms setting
2. Test each bar to the shaft - there should be no continuity.
3. Test each bar next to each other - all values should be very close
4. Test each bar 180 degrees or across from each other - all values should be very close

If you fail any of these tests then the armature needs to be replaced.
