It was a mission to get to this location, so I wasn't surprised to later find out that one translation of the Maori word "tapu" is inaccessible! I didn't have the luxury of picking my timing or planning to the tide, so I got what I got. I wasn't overly pleased with the initial capture so I wanted to see how I could use the tools inside of Luminar AI to help me edit this photo.
I could have opted for more dramatic AI tools like the sky replacement (especially now Luminar considers reflections for the sky replacement) but I wanted to keep the final edit close to the original while still enhancing it somewhat.
I attempted to take the edit in a painterly direction in terms of the finished look. A photo with a nod towards the aesthetics of a painting.
