I will show you how to build a multi purpose YouTube home studio in a simple room.
If you create talking head videos, your YouTube studio setup can help you create easily or stay out of your way.
And to transform a simple room into a home office or a home studio, you need to consider many factors.
First, you need to plan from the start which shots you want to film and arrange everything so you can change them easily.
Clarify what the main shot is.
I wanted a wide shot, so I was looking for the best camera lens for YouTube combined with a professional YouTube lighting setup. For the main shot, I used my Sony ZV-E10 MK I and the Sigma 16mm f1.4.
Second, I needed a top-down shot. I used a C-stand to attach the camera, and for this I use my Sony ZV-E10 II and the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8
To achieve good lighting for both shots simultaneously, I used a few lighting tricks and a Godox ML 100BI with a Godox ES45.
Next, I used the free space for a third camera angle, having the lighting setup in a great position for it.
And next, I installed a colored studio backdrop to create another type of shot. I wanted a clean YouTube background to film the gear I present or to take pictures for the thumbnails.
And now, my YouTube camera setup is already complete. I needed one more thing: to choose the best wireless mic for YouTube. The audio was problematic, so I chose the Rode Wireless PRO to achieve good audio and move freely.
