Want to create seamless, single-take shots with Veo in Google Flow? In this AI Video School tutorial, you'll learn two powerful methods for generating continuous shots using Veo:
1. Clip Extension (Veo 2) for smooth, uninterrupted visuals
2. Frames to Video (Veo 3 Fast/Quality) for long takes with audio

I’ll walk you through both techniques using examples from my own Veo-generated movies. I am hoping this will help filmmakers, creators, or anyone experimenting with AI video storytelling.

For the Extend method with the train, here is the prompt format I used:
1. Opening Shot in Veo 3
Interior of a vintage passenger train car. Warm, golden light flickers from overhead bulbs, casting long, soft shadows on polished wooden panels and plush red seats. The camera faces down the aisle, eye-level. In the foreground, a young PA stands holding a clapperboard. She raises the clapper, and says, “Okay, here we go — one minute, no cuts, walking all the way through the train.” She snaps the clapper shut. Immediately behind her stands an asian woman in her mid-30s, slightly short, with a round, expressive face and dark, observant eyes. She wears a tailored navy conductor uniform with a crisp white shirt with a slim red tie, and a simple black-brimmed conductor's cap. Her posture is upright but relaxed, like someone going through the motions for the hundredth time. She exhales through her nose — barely a sigh — then begins walking slowly and deliberately down the aisle as the PA steps aside. The camera remains fixed on her face in a Snorricam-style setup, moving backwards smoothly as she advances, keeping her subtle expressions centered in frame. The train hums quietly. The background behind her begins to blur slightly as she passes seats and windows. There’s a quiet, theatrical rhythm to her motion — detached but intentional.

2. Template for extended shots in Veo 2
camera tracking motion as the conductor walks down the aisle revealing more passengers, the passengers are all [anthropomorphic animals or add your new passenger type]. she smiles in amusement

For the walking woman:
(using a Midjourney start image)
motion tracking shot of the woman walking. She says: There’s a poem we had to read back in high school about taking the road less traveled

Next prompt:
motion tracking shot of the woman walking. She says: Everyone was so sure they’d take the road less traveled, me included.

Prompt to add background elements in:
motion tracking shot of the woman walking past a park bench with someone sitting on it. She says: But I don’t think it’s too late. I only got here because the road took me here.
